McLaury Engineering is currently in need of a Civil Design Staff Engineer to work as a part of our growing engineering design/management group in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Civil Design Staff Engineer your responsibilities would include:

  • Working with a team of engineers, surveyors, and technicians to design, plan and manage a variety of civil transportation, municipal, and private development projects of all sizes
  • Assist with the completion of engineering studies, designs, drawings, and maps using computer aided drafting and other technical software
  • Assisting in the development of roadway plan sets, specifications, and reports

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a Civil Engineering related field. A minimum of 2 years of related engineering design and/or project management experience is preferred but not required.
  • A registered Engineer-In-Training or demonstrate appropriate experience.
  • A technical knowledge to complete engineering designs and analysis
  • Understanding of Municipal and DOT design standards
  • Understanding of Bentley Microstation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Self-motivation, organization, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with a team

Primary Responsibilities

As a Civil Project Engineer your responsibilities would include:

  • Working with a team of engineers, surveyors, and technicians to plan and manage a variety of civil transportation, municipal, and private development projects of all sizes
  • Assisting clients with project identification, development, and implementation to facilitate engineering solutions
  • Completing engineering studies, designs, drawings, and maps using computer aided drafting and other technical software
  • Performing field investigations and inspections
  • Conducting project management and oversight including client relations, contracts, and construction

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in a Civil Engineering related field with a minimum of 5 years of related engineering design and/or project management experience required for Project Engineer
  • A Professional Engineer license is preferred but not required
  • An ability to analyze, interpret, develop and utilize technical documents
  • Understanding of Municipal and DOT design and construction standards
  • Proven proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Self-motivation, organization, effective communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and with a team
